Scott Cooper's Innovative Performer's Networking Conference; Talent INC Sets Sail In The United Kingdom This October 2013

Talent INC has been a leader in the US and Canadian markets when it comes to promoting new and seasoned talent to agents and casting directors. This October, Talent INC U.K. will host the first UK national conference on board Royal Caribbean's “Independence of the Seas”

London, UK (PRWEB UK) 16 April 2013
When Scott Cooper of Talent INC wanted to expand to the U.K., there was only one person he thought of to take on this endeavour, Dorinda Duncan.
Dorinda trained at Arts Educational schools in London. She then moved into the business world at an early age and built a successful multi-million pound marketing company launching major computer companies into Europe. Her return to the arts world was prompted by her daughter's growing interest in acting. She started the Royal Berkshire Academy of Performing Arts, a specialised training and performing arts school for talented performers, ten years ago. This was followed shortly after by a full-service agency that places young performers in film, commercials and stage.
Performers that Dorinda has mentored have appeared in commercials for Morrisons, Activia, McDonald’s, Marks and Spencers, Asda, Signal, U-switch, Sky, Talk Talk, Barclaycard, Barnardos, Google. On the West End: Benjy in Priscilla Queen of The Desert, The National Tour Oliver, Snowman London and on tour to Asia: ENRON, Wizard of Oz, Disneyland Paris, Gavroche, Eponine in the concert version Les Miserables, Edinburgh fringe and Jordan Gage in Taboo. In films: Harry Potter , St Trinian’s, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sixty Six, Wired, Les Miserables and national TV, CBBC, Channel Four and ITV.
She also runs a successful production company producing stage work; Music of Les Miserables concert, RENT, Spring Awakening, Annie and many more. A recent interest has been the music industry and along with her daughter Anastasia she is a scout for a major A&R company in New York. Her interest in Talent Conferences started with a trip to Florida some years ago and she has been looking for a company to work with to develop a European model. Through mutual connections, she was introduced to Scott Cooper and Talent INC UK was born.
Talent INC will be making a splash aboard the magnificent Independence of the Seas by Royal Caribbean which has every imaginable on board facility to ensure your enjoyment. With an incredible H2O Zone water park, the Royal Promenade with its enticing shops and cafes, plus the widest dining options you might not want to leave!

Selected Talent INC performers will be departing from Southampton (UK) docks and traveling to Zeebrugge (Brussels), Belgium; and Le Havre (Paris), France. Not only will they be part of the Talent INC training programme and receive 20 hours of exclusive training followed by the showcase and networking opportunities, but they will do all of this in the luxurious surroundings of a mini cruise.
Auditions are taking place in various venues across the U.K. in preparation for the U.K. launch. One of the unique aspects to Talent INC is the free public outreach workshop where parents and young performers will learn about the entertainment industry, and how to avoid the pitfalls often associated with it.

Great Uncle Al!

Let's see that's a good question. If I could have dinner with one person from history...it would be my great uncle....Al. He was crazy smart, and VERY famous. Like "Kardashian" famous only.... a LOT less scandalous. It's true, he was. He was made famous by these holes made by worms from outer space.  In fact he inspired characters in 3 of my favorite movies. They used his eyes for the alien in E.T., and then of course there is Yoda from Star Wars, who they used my great uncle's forehead and then of course they used his hair for the character of Emmett Brown in Back To The Future. Who's my great uncle... you mean you can't tell from all those clues!? He is none other than... Albert Einstein.. of course.

I AM Snow White?

When I was little...we went to The Magic Kingdom…I went on this ride called “Snow White’s Scary Adventures”   I was only 5 so I was expecting happy adventures with Snow White, a few cute dwarves...singing birds and the occasional old lady with an apple. I got an eerie feeling the moment the ride took off. Where  is Snow White? Where are the Dwarves? It wasn’t until the ride was over that someone told me the ride was supposed to make you feel as if you WERE Snow White… What the???!! I didn’t want to be Snow White. That’s some scary stuff! But there I was, trapped on the ride, crashing into walls and dragged through a dungeon, being constantly tortured by frightening images of the evil witch. I walked off that ride scared, and to be honest…ticked off.  My older brother thought it was funny… he kept laughing at how terrified I was… so he bought me a Princess tiara. Gee…THANKS! Next time I am heading straight for Space Mountain!

Note: This has been performed by both male and female performers with equal success!

Valentine's Day Rules

Well it’s almost that time of year again. Valentine’s Day is almost here, and my teacher is going to once again FORCE me to write a Valentine’s Day card to everyone in my class. I understand that they don’t want anyone to get their feelings hurt, but why do I have to write a Valentine’s day card to the kid who pushed me down at recess, and made fun of me? And am I supposed to really believe that when they give me a card that they REALLLY want to be my Valentine? .... My older sister thinks that this is where kids first learn to lie about their feelings in a relationship. She said it helps us prepare for marriage…. (shrugs shoulders) whatever THAT means!

Tooth Fairy Sanitizer

I lost a tooth the other day, and my mom told me to put it under my pillow and that in the middle of the night the Tooth Fairy would come in and take my tooth and replace it with some cash. OK… so I have some questions and concerns here.

#1)  What does this little tooth freak do with all of these teeth? By my calculations (takes out calculator and begins typing frantically  somewhere in the world a child loses a tooth every .08 seconds… BUT they are not all in the same part of the world… which brings me to …

#2)   How does this little tooth-collecting creep get from place to place? I mean I get how Santa gets around, but at least he has a route…

#3)  If this Fairy is touching other peoples teeth each night… what about the germs? I mean obviously some of these kids are losing their teeth because they don’t take care of them… so …ewwwwww… gross…. This fairy is touching a bunch of nasty teeth and then touching my pillow??

From now on when I lose a tooth…I am leaving some anti-bacterial hand sanitizer under my pillow!
